ARTIST OVERVIEW:
StoryBots makes learning fun for millions of kids around the world with its collection of ebooks, songs, videos – which have racked up more than a half billion online views – and its hit Netflix Original series, including the Emmy Award-winning Ask the StoryBots and StoryBots Super Songs.
Originally launched in 2012, StoryBots was the brainchild of the brothers behind JibJab and centers on a cast of curious and colorful little creatures who live in the world beneath our screens and help answer kids’ biggest questions.
Known best for its catchy and hilarious music videos exploring topics such as numbers, shapes, emotions, dinosaurs and outer space, StoryBots made its TV debut in 2016 with the Netflix Original series Ask the StoryBots. Starring Judy Greer and featuring a slate of celebrity guest stars, the show was a runaway hit with both kids and adults and spun off a companion series, StoryBots Super Songs, and a holiday special, A StoryBots Christmas.
StoryBots has become one of the most lauded children’s series, winning three Daytime Emmy Awards (and nine additional nominations), being one of just two kids’ shows nominated for a Peabody Award and receiving additional recognition from the British Academy (BAFTA) Children’s Awards and the Annie Awards.
Ask the StoryBots makes its triumphant return to Netflix with a second season in August 2018, featuring appearances from Ed Norton, Kristen Schaal, David Cross, Wanda Sykes, Ali Wong, Christina Applegate, Snoop Dogg and more.
The StoryBots website offers a full content library and recently was nominated for Best Youth Website by the Webby Awards. StoryBots has released a collection of print books with Random House, with titles available online as well as in-store in Target and at the Scholastic Book Fair.
